Explore the truth: with the Spirit, I am alive
As you begin to gather as a Circle, take this time to share food and drink and discuss any questions you have been reflecting on. These three questions may help to start your discussion.
In these three truths – God loves; Christ saves; Christ Lives – we see God the Father and God the Son.Wherever they are present, so too is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit quietly opens our hearts to receive the Truth; to keep alive our hope of salvation. The Holy Spirit flows from the risen Christ and into our lives. The Holy Spirit draws deeper into a relationship with God, so that you can grow in His love, life and power.
What do you desire? What are you passionate about? St Augustine spoke of this when he said “you have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”The desires of your heart will not be fulfilled by accumulating possessions, spending money, chasing desperately after the things of this world. They will come, and in a much more beautiful and meaningful way; a way that will make you genuinely joyful.
Nothing is more natural or normal than an encounter and relationship with God. Love itself affects your entire life. It guides your every action and motivation. Love is from God, for God is love (1 John 4:8). Love for God, and an experience of His love for you, is an action of the Holy Spirit.
Are you ready to fall in love with the God of love?
Share your personal experiences on the following five (5) questions.
Before you meet again as a Circle, commit to making these two actions. The 'Inwards' action will support you to grow in your faith. The'Outwards' action will challenge you to a new aspect of mission.
