Open to encounter each other and God
As you begin to gather as a Circle, take this time to share food and drink and discuss any questions you have been reflecting on. These three questions may help to start your discussion.
God dwells amongst us. That is our core belief. The Catholic faith is about an encounter with God and His creation. It calls you to live a life of love, with a God of love.
Christ is God. It is through Christ that we - the Church - can have the life of salvation that God desires for humanity. It is in answering the call of Christ that we can have faith that will lead to peace that will rise above the chaos in our lives.
This series is called Belong. It is an opportunity to explore an encounter with Christ in the context of His Church. God himself is Belonging. God the Holy Spirit is the love that exists between God the Father and God the Son. This love created you, exists within you and continues to breathe life into you.
Just like Peter in the Gospel, God is calling out to you now, to ‘come’ and encounter Him. To set your gaze upon him and to boldly step out into the unknown. It is up to you to respond. Will you?
Share your personal experiences on the following five (5) questions.
Before you meet again as a Circle, commit to making these two actions. The 'Inwards' action will support you to grow in your faith. The 'Outwards' action will challenge you to a new aspect of mission.
